Since its launch in June of 2024, the Women’s Giving Circle of Chautauqua County has achieved remarkable success, bringing together passionate women to make a difference in the lives of women and girls. The Circle is excited to build on this momentum in 2025, continuing to expand its impact and strengthen the community for years to come.

In its inaugural year, the Women’s Giving Circle welcomed 96 founding members who shared a commitment to uniting resources for greater good. The initiative received an incredible boost with a $10,000 matching challenge from an anonymous donor, which was fulfilled early on, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm and support.

The Circle represents a vibrant network of women who call Chautauqua County home year-round or in the summer. Together they will support local initiatives and drive change. In 2025, the Women’s Giving Circle is proud to launch its first grantmaking cycle, with over $50,000 available to fund projects that empower women and girls in Chautauqua County.

Jane Cleaver Becker, the visionary founder of the Women’s Giving Circle, expressed her excitement for what lies ahead: "The launch of the Women’s Giving Circle has been a dream come true. Our success so far is a testament to the collective power of women who care about their community. I am thrilled to see how we will launch our grantmaking and make a positive impact in the lives of women and girls in our community."

Membership in the Women’s Giving Circle requires an annual commitment of at least $500, with every dollar going directly into community grantmaking. The Circle is eager to welcome new members who share its vision for creating opportunities and driving meaningful change.
