The Rosemary "Rosie" Billquist Memorial Fund is a Donor-Designated Endowment Fund that continues to bring comfort, care, and hope–just as Rosie did.

Established in 2017, this fund provides vital, ongoing support to three organizations that embody Rosie's spirit of kindness - Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, Chautauqua County Humane Society, and Southern Tier Kidney Association. These organizations, in turn, show kindness to both people and animals which is a fitting legacy for a woman who cared deeply for everyone in her life.

Through fundraising efforts, including Rosie's Run and an annual golf tournament, the Fund has grown into a lasting tribute to the love Rosie shared with the world. It has distributed more than $4,150 to enrich the lives of shelter dogs and aided individuals in Hospice care to keep their beloved pets by their side in their final days.

"Having a permanent legacy at the Community Foundation is important as a way to remember Rosie," said Jamie Billquist, Rosie's husband. "Thanks to the generosity of those who continue to support this Fund, Rosie's legacy of love and compassion lives on–touching lives and making a meaningful impact on the causes she cared about.
