I scream! You scream! We all scream for…a 5K?
That’s right! Big Tree Ice Cream in Lakewood is hosting the first ever Twist ‘N Run on Sunday, Oct. 1.
All proceeds from the race will benefit a new scholarship fund Christine Fosberg and her family established at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
The Fosberg Family Swimming Scholarship Fund will be awarded to a Southwestern Central School graduating senior who is a member of the Girl’s Swimming Program and who is an active volunteer.
Registration for the 5K will be held from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Big Tree Ice Cream and the race will take off at 10 a.m. from Schuyler’s Country Kitchen on the corner of W. Fairmount and 5th Avenue.
Racers and walkers will make their way along Route 474 through Ashville, turn left onto South Maple Avenue, Hunt Road and Gleason Road before finishing back at Big Tree Ice Cream.
All participants will receive a race t-shirt and ice cream cone!
