Josh Auflick, Director of Education, looks on as students enrolled in Chautauqua Striders Minecraft workshop watch their technical creations come alive through the use of a 3D printer. This educational computer program is specifically designed to develop STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematic) skills essential for future employment in a variety of manufacturing fields. Minecraft strengthens individual creativity, as well as, group collaboration, and computer literacy. All of its lessons are aligned with New York State Common Core Standards. Funding for this workshop was provided through a grant from the Fund for the Region.
